2010 [01 Jan 2010|03:37am] someplace20 Time flies so quickly as you get older.....2010...damn. My birthday is in a few weeks, well 11 days actually! I'm turning 24! lol...hopefully this will help me qualify for finacial aid so I can finish college. I'm currently at my second job working my overnight shift....I'm exhausted, but I won't be off work until 7am....but hey, it pays the bills and my rent, we sorta. lol. I've learned so much this year, about family, about life, relationships and myself....I havn't seen Crystal in about 6 months and I'd have to say this is the first time i'm missing her. We had such a rocky on again off again relationship for about a year, maybe longer...that by the time we ended it for good I was happy to walk away.....6 months later i miss her at times....i dont miss our relationship, just our friendship, she was a good friend, she understood me in ways im not sure many ever will, but romantically we sucked! lol.... I'm so OVER having room mates....can't wait until my lease is up, I so want my own place....However Sharon asked me to move to Berkeley with her in July...I'm still considering it...sounds awesome and Sharon is such a neat person and so kind hearted...we'd have a blast...time will tell. Mia is doing well..she hates when I leave her on overnight shifts...poor cat.... I'm getting my right upper arm sleeve finished on the 13th, I am so excited....I still sometimes look in the mirror and can't believe how much tattoo work I have done and how much money both my arms are worth! lol...but they all mean so much to me and I have no regrets....infact I'm getting a back piece started soon and I have one for my lower leg that I need drawn up....time and money permited. I have been writing a autobiographical essay for my Smith application, I'm applying through Ada Commstock, which is for us oldies who havn't finished college....my heart is set on this school so I will keep trying... Is it Almost Over? [27 Dec 2009|09:02pm] lenawoo [ mood | annoyed ] 2009 is almost done, it’s been a great beginning but a suckful ending. I had 2 amazing part time jobs that was giving me the experience I needed to help me get into grad school. That all ended at the beginning of my summer. At least I did have an incredible summer; San Fran, San Diego, Vegas, all great and memorable trips! Then back to reality and picking up as much hours as possible at work. I hate retail sometimes; mainly when customers are bossy, impatient and mean, lol. But when the new store manager came in October, picking up extra hours wasn’t as easy anymore. My old store manager loved me and would give me extra hours if I asked him, he also gave me my time off for Hawaii, when we weren’t suppose to ask for time off during the last 2 months of the year; corporate policy. The new manager came right before I left for my trip to Hawaii, Thanksgiving week. ($485 plane ticket, woot) Good thing I had already bought the plane tickets, he couldn’t make me give up my trip, whew! So, I enjoyed a week in the island of Oahu, spent time with Kristina and her best friend Sharon, who happens to be an Australian Chinese; Aussie accent and speaks Cantonese like me! I envy that of her, lol. Did 3 days of shopping since things were so cheap at department stores and outlet stores and tax wasn’t so high! Bought myself my first pair of Puma’s, in men’s cuz they didn’t have any in women’s, pair of skinny jeans and all sorts of souvenirs for peeps. Walked a volcano crater, visited Pearl Harbor, rented a car to drive along the coast and went to the Polynesian Cultural Center that’s run by Mormons, lol. I also made a vegetarian and gluten-free Thanksgiving dinner for the Aussies. Spending 2 hours of sweating and watching all the food come together was pretty cool, hehe. I never want to do it alone again! All good times in Hawaii and meeting new friends! Thank you Kristiana for housing me and the rest of the team! Now, hours have been cut for the new year, not so much a Happy New Year, but gotta keep fighting, gotta keep pushing and definitely, gotta keep the hope alive to get into grad school Round 2, here we go! And finding another job if I can’t get into grad school, again, blah! It’s been over 6 months and I still have the hugest crush on Holly. No matter how I try to get over it, nothing works. She’s back out here in Cali for a short time before she flies back to Texas. Getting a hold of her is the hardest thing in the world, I think it’s that Virgo things; I have the most difficult time getting a hold of Virgos, lol. It’s the only excuse I have. I did get to see her the first day she was here. I was in the area dropping some stuff off at school and decided to pop by her house real quick. After not seeing her for over 6 months, just made me realize I’m definitely not over her. I hate myself for having emotions, lol. All I want for belated Christmas, is just to hang out with her. Edith Sigth is still a cunt for doing what she did to me and my Think Together team. The end. ~Lena post comment
